Thank you for showing interest in my ebook- The History of the Burmantofts Pottery. I have researched the information contained within this ebook over the last six years and I expect readers will be pleased with the results. My Burmantofts web page contains a minute snapshot of information from the ebook itself, but as you can imagine, is only the beginning of the full story. I have endevoured to release some form of publication to coincide with the centenary of the end of the pottery production and this ebook is the result. With a total of 230 pictures and 157 pages, this ebook is a must for any enthusiast.

WHAT IS AN EBOOK?

An ebook is an book produced to read on a computer. The format of this ebook is a compact disk that you view from any computer you can have access to. As with any book, the ebook contains chapters of text along with images. The format of the ebook allows you to use the disk with Microsoft compatible software. All the system requirements are listed below.

Easy to install software that will allow you to browse your ebook if your computer does not have the required PDF viewer. A guide to getting the most from your disk and support is included for those who have no computer skills.

SO WHY SHOULD I BUY AN EBOOK?

The benefit of buying this ebook is that to begin with you get far more information, pictures and extras than if I had the book set in print. The cost of having books printed reduces the amount of information and pictorial content due to the cost of labour and resources. This has enabled me to include photos and research information I think you will want to see and read. The ebook contains supplement research that you will not get from other books as a bonus.

COMPUTER SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (TECHNO-BABBLE)

* Your computer needs an operating system of Windows 98 or higher.

* A suitable Portable Document Reader for reading PDF files (Adobe Acrobat Reader Installer supplied on the CD Rom if you don't already have it).

* Either MS Access database application, word package, internet browser or notepad are required to view the database text. A selection of file formats are provided to suit your needs. Any computer will have at least one of these as a minimum! These applications are not required for reading your ebook and are therefore not essential.

* A CD ROM drive for reading your ebook

BUT I DON'T HAVE A COMPUTER...

Don't panic!! Most people shy away from computers or just don't have one for what ever reason. The good news is that you can use this ebook on a machine of a friend or family member without causing disruption. The ebook only needs a PDF reader installing if it does not have one already and these days, most software or internet files are in this format. You can also use library or college machines intended for public use to view your ebook. The disc comes with full instructions on how to view the files, so give it a go!
