Waterproof |
I also have a medium weight waterproof cover over the bike during transportation that I will also use overnight for both weather protection and added security.
Items that will form part of my luggage but I will be carrying with me when I fly are:
Acer TravelMate C102TCi tablet style laptop. Canon Powershot A70 digital camera. Compaq iPaq MP3 player. Plus a few extra pieces of clothing in case of delay picking up the bike on arrival.
I anticipate that at some point I will be buying some camping equipment but prefer to do this on the way.
I haven't really made any modifications to the bike since purchase, but I did have BMW engine bars and an auxillary power socket fitted when new. I will almost certainly add to this as I prepare to leave the US. Principally a set of off-road capable tyres (my current set will be ready to be replaced by then anyway) and maybe a few other off-raod mods – such as extra protection against dust and fall damage.
